Play around, draw some lines, and watch your design come to life (if you need some guidance, watch the video because Cory does some excellent work). It's time to trace the object to establish the foundation to your new design! Once you have traced it, you can add your own unique flair by adding shadows or highlights.
Repeat until the image looks good to you.Ĭreate a new layer. Press the Arrow tool on the top of the document to crop off those sides. To crop out any unnecessary parts of the image, bring the image to the corner of the document and line it up to how you'd like it to look. Once you found images that you like, hit the Wrench tool in the upper, left-hand corner and paste the image on the document. Cory pulls a skull from Google to help him out. Search for inspiration on Google for different aspects for the design. You don't need to draw anything from scratch here. What do you envision the color of the shirt to be? What about the color of the ink? Change your background and pencil color to match your idea. Play around and determine what size would be best for you. It's a little large, but Cory prefers to work with big documents because he wants the design to be as clean and crisp as possible.
Cory likes 3456 px by 5184 px at 300 DPI. Open up Procreate and make a new document. Before we begin, you'll need a few tools - an iPad, an Apple Pencil, and Procreate.
